Mirror for auction

Each person from the enamel class contributed 1"X1" enameled tiles that were created using techniques they learned in the 4th session at Haystack 2012. The mirror was then donated to Haystacks auction which raises money for scholarships and upkeep.

How Dave saw it.

Salt Water Etching Set-Up with battery

Hey Haystack Friends,

I'm here in Madison. Thank you for such a wonderful time. I'm not sure when I'll be able to set my studio up, but I found these images on the web that are the set-up for saltwater etching using plain old batteries, a battery holder and alligator clips. Both can be purchased at Radio Shack. Happy Etching!

R.I.P. Bill Helwig

Memorial on Enamel Arts Foundation website

I had the privilege of obtaining invaluable enameling tips from Bill this past year while working on a project with my professor Myra Mimlitsch-Gray. He will be missed!

Looking for a Ride!

Hi there Haystack Enamelists,

I am trying to catch a ride with someone on Saturday to Deer Isle. If any of you (or know of other T.A.'s) who are planning on heading there on Saturday and are passing through Bangor (that's where I'll be), can I hitch a ride. I'll help with gas! My email is crane.tanya@gmail.com

Thanks
Tanya

Welcome Enamelists!

For all of you attending the 4th session at Haystack, particularly Jamie Bennett's Enameling class, this blog is for you! My name is Tanya Crane, and I will be the assistant. Together, Jamie and I are creating this resource for you as a way for you to get information and resource for current and future enameling practice. As a disclaimer, I am not a very good blogger. You are free to leave comments, but if you have more pressing questions, please email me at: crane.tanya@gmail.com. On the right side of the screen, I have posted links to the resources that were listed in the enamel supply sheet, but I have added links to other artists as well. I am also posting a link to a slide show Jamie made of contemporary artists that he feels best represent a variety of enameling techniques and approach to the trade. I look forward to meeting you all on the 15th!
